Born Sean Jones and raised in Queens, New York during the golden evolution of New York hip-hop, Sean Conn started writing rhymes at 15 and quickly turned that habit into a career. He cut his teeth on a demo for MB Network that caught real industry attention — including interest from J Records, brought to him through Papoose. He turned the offer down, choosing to build independently instead of signing away his name.
That independent streak produced his debut LP, The One, in 2005, and led him into Triboro, a group project alongside Elus and Frsh Aire. From cyphers to studio sessions, Sean Conn's reputation was built the way New York hip-hop has always rewarded it: bar for bar, room by room.

Between 2007 and 2011, Sean Conn set five Guinness World Records for marathon freestyle cipher sessions — a run that culminated in a 28-hour freestyle cipher, an endurance feat that still stands as one of the most extreme displays of lyrical stamina on record. The industry took notice: he was named Buzz Factor of the Year in 2012 and Most Original Male Artist in 2014.
Set between 2007–2011 for marathon freestyle cipher sessions, capped by a 28-hour freestyle cipher.
Industry recognition for standout buzz and momentum in the underground hip-hop scene.
Honored for a style and catalog that refused to sound like anyone else's.

In 2015, Sean Conn founded Vigga Entertainment — turning his independent mindset into a full company. Through Vigga he released the singles "Silver Lining," "The Golden Mic," and "The Highlight," the latter debuted on air by Funkmaster Flex on Hot 97. In 2017, he expanded into gaming with "Quest for the Golden Mics," his own video game, earning him an interview on Hot 97 with Hip Hop Gamer.

Sean Conn kept building — the 2021 EP Conn and The Genius and the August 2022 album The Wrath of Conn both extended a catalog two decades in the making. He then stepped away from the road for roughly two years for hip surgery and recovery tied to stage-four osteoarthritis, a setback that would have ended plenty of careers.
It didn't end his. Sean Conn came back with a bigger reach than before, now collaborating with international fans-turned-collaborators like Slovenian producer Kontunes, and locking in a partnership with Sony/The Orchard in March 2026. He's since aligned with Live Nation for the next stage of his career — the same independent drive from Queens, now backed by major infrastructure.
Sean Conn has teamed up with Boston's Mall G for "Keeping Up With The Joneses" — a joint project and tour already stopping in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Denver, Miami, Atlanta, New York, and Toronto, with more dates being added. The EP is out now, and VIP packages are available for select stops.
