Bad News Borrero
The Artist

Not different — just honest.

Born and raised in the Jamaica Plain and Roslindale neighborhoods of Boston, Bad News Borrero is an artist whose music is rooted in authenticity, resilience, and culture. Proud of his Puerto Rican heritage, he embraces the traditions his parents brought with them to Boston in the 1970s, letting those influences shape both his identity and his music.

Spanish was his first language, but hip-hop became the bridge that taught him English. From the age of two his world revolved around music — studying legends like Biz Markie, Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, and the Fat Boys built his early appreciation for lyricism and storytelling, while R&B gave him a singing voice long before he ever wrote his first rhyme. His father's powerful voice performing Vicente Fernández, José Luis Rodríguez, and Julio Jaramillo taught him melody and emotion. As a teenager he sharpened his craft in freestyle cyphers across Boston — train stations, house parties, wherever artists gathered — until he saw someone moved to tears by his lyrics and understood the real weight of what he was building.

"Student Of The Game" — the debut album.

Bad News Borrero is preparing to release his highly anticipated debut album, Student Of The Game, produced by Jova The Last Martian and Your Loving Lounge — a celebration of hip-hop's many eras that showcases his lyrical ability, diverse flows, and respect for the culture. Fans have already gotten a preview through the singles "It's My Time" and "ShowStopper," both produced by Your Loving Lounge.

Student Of The Game

His debut album — every era of hip-hop, filtered through razor-sharp wordplay and real experience.

GoldenMouth & The Reggaeton Album

A genre-blending solo project, plus a collaborative Reggaeton album with Jova The Last Martian.

New Music With Scottzilla

Upcoming records produced by Scottzilla, whose credits include Snoop Dogg and Freddie Gibbs.

Beyond The Booth

Family, faith, and the culture.

Bad News Borrero refuses to be confined to one genre — while his debut explores hip-hop's many eras, his future work moves through R&B, Reggaeton, Trap, and Lo-Fi. His lyrics draw from real experience — street life, love, heartbreak, loss, perseverance, family, and personal growth — because his philosophy is simple: he's not trying to be different from everyone else, he's simply telling the truth.

His children remain the center of his life and his greatest motivation: Kaileen Anais, Jassidy Marie, Nova Real, and the loving memory of Zeikani Elijah (RIP). His signature black, white, and slime green branding honors his late son — the green symbolizing his memory and strength, and the target logo representing Stryke Force.

Outside of the studio, Bad News has trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai, is a reptile enthusiast, and has developed his own graffiti style — creative outlets that reflect the same discipline and originality found in his music.
